Bechtle strengthens its presence in Portugal with a diversified IT systems integrator.
Neckarsulm/Aveiro, January 29, 2026 – Bechtle AG acquires the IT systems integrator RIS 2048 – Sistemas Informáticos e Comunicações, S.A., headquartered in Aveiro with branches in Lisbon and Porto. Founded in 2000, the company continues to operate under the RIS and Evoware brands, but under the Bechtle Group umbrella, complementing the existing portfolio of Bechtle direct Portugal with IT consulting and services. RIS and Evoware currently employ 165 people and target enterprise and medium-sized business clients, having generated revenues exceeding €50 million in 2025. Co-founders and former majority shareholders Luís Catalão, Managing Director of RIS 2048, and Nuno Silva, Managing Director of Evoware, will continue to manage the company. The sale to Bechtle aims to expand growth momentum within a large European group. With this acquisition, Bechtle continues to pursue its acquisition strategy in Europe with determination and promotes the expansion of its portfolio in Portugal, as well as the use of synergies with Bechtle companies in Portugal and Spain. Bechtle now employs more than 1,000 people in the Iberian Peninsula.

With this acquisition, the Bechtle Group is now represented in all major economic regions of the Iberian Peninsula with three brands in Portugal – Bechtle, Evoware and RIS – and four brands in Spain – Bechtle, Grupo Solutia, iDoo and Prosol. “In recent years, we have achieved enormous success in Spain and Portugal, and with this new acquisition in the promising Portuguese market, we now receive a decisive boost that reinforces our objective of being among the top five service providers in the Iberian region by 2030.
